Tuco, Keep spraying all around with gasket remover( permatex ). Let it soak for a day or 2 and than the rubber mallet. |

Tuco.. a couple of cheap wood chisels.. the wider the better.. will do the trick witout gouging anything if you're reasonably careful. Gently alternate tapping them into the gasket line at about 1/3 and 2/3.. i.e., a little either side of the middle. Best regards, Andy |

What I did was make a few hardwood wedges (walnut or oak) and pound them in. Also try heating the studs. |

Anyone got any tips for breaking loose the intake manifolds from the heads? Man, they are really stubborn! The car has 80,000 miles on it, and I don't think they've ever been off. The heads are still on the engine which is still in the car which makes the options somewhat limited. Thanks for your help. |
