Don't have the problem with my F but the Pantera is real finicky when it comes to any air in the gas tank after its rained. Recently I was gone for a week and a rain storm came through and when I tried to start it when I got home it ran exactly as you've described. I also have an old Harley and it used to run the same way when I was in Florida if I bought some bad gas. I had to be real careful which gas I purchased.

When starting cold even after warm up the engine backfires and the car is running sluggishly until it gets real warm then runs normally ? Could it be the gasoline quality ? Never have that problem in winter time. Also please note it is not my daily driver week end use only. Thanks for any input.
