I've got a similar noise on my '88 Mondial. Years ago, I had the same problem with a Fiat which had been up in the air on jackstands awaiting a new engine. It seems that when the suspension "droops" for an extended period of time the springs can move in their perches. A bit of rust can become dislodged or whatever, and when the car is lowered back onto its suspension, you can get a squeek.
The Mondial spent about 1.5 weeks in the air waiting for new tires and refinished wheels. I hope to get under the car this weekend and check out my theory. I'm hoping a shot of "white grease" at the correct point will end the noise. I'll keep you posted.

i have a slight banging, creaking, sound coming from the front and back of my new 360 modena, when i drive over uneven road surface. i think the noise is coming from the suspension. has any one else had this problem, my car is a 2003 360 modena? |
