Thank You! Yeah...step-by-step seems "foreign" to Ferrari manual writers. What Great People Here!

Jeff: I will mail copies of them tomorrow. What is interesting is that they are a step-by-step approach to the removal of the engine. Very unusual in a Ferrari manual. I think you will be very satisfied with them......they make it so easy, that you may even want to keep your TR!!!!!!

Jeff: I have a TR manual. In the "M" section it has several pages on how to remove the engine, in a TR.

There are 5 pages. I could mail copies of them to you.......pictures don't come out too well in a fax.

I you want them, then e-mail me your address. I spent a month in Coldwater, but many years ago.

Thanks Tom, good to know.

Henryk....I must confess, I do have both parts and shop manuals and was being lazy in posting this question. It really helps my confidence hearing actual experiences, rather than reading the vague manuals. In looking through my service manual, I think I look into section "M" to see the procedure for dropping the drivetrain out of the car, but when I turned to this section it has the Mondial featured and not the TR. Perhaps my manual (a reprint) is missing the correct info? I am hesitant to trust what it says.

No bearings to replace Jeff. Just 2 seals, one oil seal and one coolant seal.

The oil leak I'm after may be coming from the water pump area...is it possible the pump seal is leaking? I'm going to rebuild the pump during my "home-spun" major service. I'm not sure about these pumps, are there two seals and some kind of bearing race to replace? Thank You to all who help, it is appreciated.
