Could also be the tach as well. You can pull it, and have it tested by a speedometer shop. |

Both I and a friend have early 80's Mondials and both of us have tach's that tend to jump when traveling at a constant speed and rev's during freeway driving. Meaning, we'll be doing 60 - 70 in fifth and the rev's should be humming constantly at 4500 or so, but these fritzy tach's jump all over the place from 4500 up to 7000 and back again. Does anyone know if I can fix the problem by a simple swap out of the Veglia electronic tach or is the glitch deeper than that (in the sending unit etc.) |
