I recently installed a set of TPS chips and test pipes on my 348. While I didn't dyno the car, it seems to have better throttle response. Like warm butter. Nice sound too.

Chips don't hurt the engine at all. why should they with 7bhp increase? Be very careful of the gains claimed by companies. Get your car rolling road tested before and after, otherwise you are wasting your money.

Hi
I would not bother with chipping you car. It is a loads of rubbish! A lot of money for almost nothing. I would suggest a K&N airfilter much much cheaper and about the same gain. I had my mondial T chipped and only gained 7bhp and not much torque. For 400 pounds not worth it at all. I got them to put the old chip back in. This was from Superchips in the UK. Thanks Steve

I have a gtech I will use on it before and after. However, I need to change the timing belts before I do this. Belts are due for replacement so only low RPMs until I get the belts replaced.

Bill,
I have a 348 and have been thinking of getting a set of chips from this company "Total Performance Software" phone # 352 628 2834. The chip set is around $495 and they have a trial period with a return option. The spec is +22hp. Their data explains that their chip sets have been tuned and track tested. However, before I put a set of chips in my car I'd want to talk to Ferrari or an F mechanic to see how such a device would affect an engine (Pros/Cons) and what would be required to make such a transistion a success. May be let us know how this turns out?
Good Luck!

get car dyno'd 1st or at least use analyzer like tazzo or gtech. i believe chip makers will take returns if no performance satisfaction?

Bill: Let me know what you think. Where do you find one for $500? The chips I've seen are over $900 for about 18HP.

I would like to try an engine chip before spending $500 on one. Can anyone "loan" me one to try and I'll gladly play something for the chance to test it...

Thanks
Bill
