I must say I really appreciate the answers here from you two and from the guys who have e-mailed me with good advice and info. This board is an invaluable resource for the enthusiast.

I've been getting exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. I'm hoping to make my next Ferrari experience more enjoyable than the last and this is a great start. As I learn more I'll be able to contribute and plan to do so. Always glad to give back.

Again, thanks.

Answer to 2)

Check with our sponsor www.ferraribooks.com, they have all kinds of ferrari literature including an extensive manuals collection.

I bought mine (workshop and parts manuals) from www.italiancarparts.com I am very pleased with the manuals (authorized bound reprints), they are incredibly detailed and thorough. You will not be disappointed with the content, though the prices might not be too pleasant. (And of course, I have no affiliation with either ferraribooks or italiancarparts)

1.) Read as many of the past posts about the 355's as posible. (search the archives)

Greetings to all and great site! After several years without a Ferrari, I sold my 993 Cabriolet, re-joined FCA and am planning to buy an F355B in the spring. I want to learn how to perform basic to intermediate maintenance tasks on the car before I take the plunge. I do the maintenance on my other cars (finally have the tools and time) so this would not be too big a stretch. I find I know enjoy my cars better and it makes it fun and more affordable when you can fix small things yourself. Obviously, I leave the big stuff to the pros.

That having been said, my questions for you current owners who like to DIY:
1)What has helped you the most in terms of learning how to work on your Ferrari?
2)Where in the heck can I find reasonably-priced parts and workshop manuals?

Thanks in advance, Shan
