Despite relentless efforts to have a BB that doesn't leak oil (so I'm a dreamer...)...and spending countless hours and mega dollars rebuilding the gearbox in her last year...she's sprung a leak.

The leak, at first glance appeared to be from the electronic speedo drive itself. I did, during the rebuild replace the o-ring around the alu collar which holds the speed sensor into the front of the gearbox. What I didn't change, because I didn't know it even existed was the tensy, tiny oil seal that is "buried inside of the alu collar". Friends, this seal can't be more than 8mm in diameter...Long and short, the old seal was like a rock and crumbled when I pushed her out...

So, yet another leak fixed, for now...I figure the shifter shaft seal should be next, even though it's "new"...

I don't know if other F-cars use this seal set-up, but it sure is quick and easy to check and replace..

Regards to all,

David
