David's right... Helmut, Palo Alto Speedometer put a new face(180mph) on my speedo from my 80 308, and recalibrated it for $135, 3 yrs ago. BEST money ever spent on the car!!!! Contact at PaSpeedo.com or )650) 323-0243. they also repaired my clock...

Good point, there a LOT of places that do Ferrari instrument work. I was recommended a place in Hollywood, FL as well. Only problem was when I emailed them, they never responded... :-( Not too encouraging.

Here's the simple way to do this. Take it out, and send it to Helmut at Palo Alto Speedometer (do a web search to find the address or check the archives here). They can do the conversion on YOUR speedo, so there will be no question it will work in your car. If you overnight it to them, they can probably turn that around in a week. Call them/email them and ask.

I have an 82 Mondial with one of those sacreligious 85 mph speedometers mandated by the feds for a few years back in the 80's. I'd like to replace it with a 180 speedo, which came on the 81 and on later mondials, but I'm not sure the parts are the same. One vendor has an 81 speedo, but their description indicates this part lacks the engine warm-up light indicator right below the cavallino, as well as the two turn signal indicators which bracket it. I'm hesistant to trade away these useful indicators for the sake of a good speedo. Does anyone know which other years of Mondial 180 mph speedo's will work?
