I powder coated the door handles on my 348. They look great and have shown no signs of waer at all. This is the way to go.

SRA,

Did you have them powder coated in a flat black or semi-gloss black? Or some other shade that I'm not aware of?

Thanks,

E

I removed the coating on my 348 handles, and had them powder coated. It resists scratches from my wedding band, and so far they are holding up well.

I think Ric Rainbolt powder coated the handles on his 348. Look GREAT from what I remember.

Powder coating will definitely last longer but if you take the parts to a local shop the lot charge will probably be $75.00 to $100.00. If you want to stick closely to stock, look up previous 355 interior thread. There are step by step directions for re rubberizing the interior components.

Powder coating will probably last longer than replacing with the stock components. There are usually a number of finishes offered by powder coating shops, so you should be able to closely match the original finish.

I have cleaned the sticky coating off my door handles, but they don't look very good. Since the dealer wants $175 per handle, I was thinking about powder coating them flat black or doing a chrome plating in satin chrome. What do you guys think?
