Hi Schumi -

Is this any help....

The car needs to be on a hoist, or jacked up at the front.
Under the left hand side, alongside the gearbox the cable goes through the casing and
attaches to the release bearing fork via the lever mounted on the side of the gearbox . Slacken off the two (11mm spanner size) locknuts that are on the adjusting rod, remembering that one is lefthand thread and the other is right hand thread. Lenghtening the rod will give more free play (test this by pressing the clutch pedal lightly at the "top end" - I would suggest about
1/2 " to 3/4" travel on the pedal. Don't forget to tighten up the locknuts
after the adjustments.

Don't have to remind you about using axle stands !!

Does anyone know how to adjust the clutch in a 400i 5 speed?
