Ming, 90 degree C for coolant temp. seems normal. As regards replacement of the radiator, I think you would have a better claim if you could show that the fix does not work, and that replacment is the only reasonable solution. I doubt if the dealer would replace the entire radiator straightaway at the first hint of trouble, unless all other attempted cures have failed. |

Hi, Leakage on radiator was fixed according to the agent a few days ago. However, I still reckoned the coolant temp. was a bit high. (one year maintenance was purchased from agent. Should they replace the radiator rather than fixed the leakage?) Facts: 1. Sunday morning drive on twisty mountain roads for 30 minutes (hard driving at at least 5-6krpm before upshifts). Coolant temp. 90-100 degree C., Oil temp. 100 degree C. 2. Then highway crusing at 80-100mph for another 30 minutes. Coolant temp. 90 degree C, Oil temp. 40-50 degree C. 3. Then back to the city and uphill driving back home at 30-40mph. I found the coolant temp. was 110-115 degree C. and oil temp. around 100 degree C. (ambient temp. was around 32-24 degree C. very hot! I could hear the fan was working) Is there anything still wrong or I should get another combination rather than 20% coolant and 80% distilled water? Thanks everyone!
