Ha Ha....glad you found it - pew! I'm lucky because in all the years and cars I've owned I never had a mouse problem. Knock on wood...

Right Jeff. One has to remove # 7 first.

Thanks.

FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!

Removing the small panel, # 7, reveals two screws that hold the upper panel, # 34, in place. The upper panel then slides outward from the bottom.

There it was!!!!....in the bottom of the automatic seat belt. A small dead mouse, about 1" long, along with some fiberglass insulation......gotten from another part of the machine shed.

And I thought these seat belts where supposed to save lives!!!!!!!

I'm glad it wasn't somewhere in the ducting.....that could have taken weeks.

Henryk...I beleive there are three (not sure though) screws holding that piece there. I removed both of those on my car to convert to "normal" seatbelts. I had to gently pry and twist some of those interior pieces to remove them. Have you already removed #7 peice?

Todd: The cat would have to be as small as a mouse to get in there. lol

I can smell a "death" stench in my car. It appears to be coming from the driver's side.....I'm suspecting a dead mouse!!!!!!! I can assure you it is NOT my after-shave lotion.

I need to remove part # 34 pictured on page Tav. 114 of the TR parts manual (1990 version).

I removed the 2 screws, and support, for the cable operating the rear lid emergency release.

Thanks
