Steven, look up inside, the bulb is probably burned out. They are only available through Ferrari parts houses and the dealer.

#62 is not a switch, it is a light socket, and has a very small green tinted light bulb in there to illuminate the console. My 78 308 GTS (USA)had this.

Mike C and P,

Mike C, my antenna is on the left by passenger (see photo below).

Mike P, my heater switch to turn on the fans (and orange dash light accordingly) is by the driver (see photo below).

Weird...

Ok, JUST checked the original owner's manual for Euro QV from the owners.ferrari.com website. Seems my setup is correct. The switch by the emergency brake should look like the fan/antenna/etc switches and SHOULD work the rear fog lights. Hmm... i could use rear fog lights on my car :-) See page 21 of your owner's manula (switch number 3, see below scan).

BTW, look at switch #62. Have NEVER seen this on ANY car and it CLAIMS to be the Tunnel control lighting. THAT is what i am after. Anyone, anyone... Beuller, Beuller, Beuller...

Enjoy the Drive,

Steven, on my U.S. QV, that black switch back by the handbrake is for the radio's power antenna. It comes that way from the factory.

Steve, it is the rear window heating elements switch, aka rear window defrost. Assuming you're talking about the switch with the built-in orange light that lights up when activated.

I used MBQuart speakers and tweeters in my 328 and they fit perfect.

Mike,

What is the switch to the left (closer to driver) by the emergency brake? Is it the fog/tunnel lights? Details please my friend. Am curious as i desire having this in the 308 here and wondering what the best way to implement it is. MANY thanks as ALL help is ALWAYS appreciated.

Enjoy the Drive,

Steven R. Rochlin

I just put in a new amp in my 308 yesterday. I put it behind the passenger side footwell. You are very limited in space there and the only one I could find to fit was the Kenwood model #KAC-5201 with 40 watts x 2.

I have found just about any of the "name brand" 5.25" speakers will do the trick. Brands that I have used successfully in the past include Polk, Infinity and Alpine...For the 308/328 series I would recommend one of the versions with a pivoting tweeter, so you can aim it toward your listening position. I will be installing a Alpine version with this feature this weekend. One could argue the nuances of many brands; you would really need to listen to several at a store. The listening enviroment of a 308/328 sucks and the 5.25" speakers are really limited in output and bass response, so I just shopped on line and found something that looked reasonable...I don't have the time to invest over such a petty purchase. I know this speaker is miles ahead of the 16 yo POS in there now. :-)

I used Focals as the best I could buy that would fit in the stock panels on my 308QV. However, if you still have the original perforated leather over the speakers, they'll be rather muted. I had that removed and replaced with dyed-to-match grill cloth. You can see them by clicking here.

As Barney suggested, so a search here on FChat. Use "308 speakers" and select "and" instead of "or".

Kenwood makes a nice pair of slim speakers that fit in the doors nicely. I will try to get the model number for you. There have been discussions on this in the past and there is a lot of good info if you do a search.

I'm looking to upgrade the stock speakers in my '85 308 and just want to replace them with a bolt-in substitute. Any good recommendations as to brand, power output, etc?
