Most Warped Discs with few miles are caused by riding the brakes instead of learning how to drive. Maybe $3K for a week of driving school isn't that cost prohibitive after all compared to a complete brake refittment? |

Hey guys........didn't you know? Ferraris are made for driving, not racing!!!!!!! If you want to race one, buy a 333SP. |

Ze, the problem is when pads are changed, the rotors are usually turned and thus remove some the disk making them thinner thus when they heat up, they warp. one step forward. two steps back |

Has anyone experienced or heard of warped discs on a 550 ? In my endless quest for a Titanium/Black 550 in pristine condition, I am coming across a car which has only 5000km (around 3000 miles) but which already had its discs (and pads) changed because the customer warped his discs on a trackday in Monza. The Monza track is incredibly hard on the brakes, went there with my 355 and overheated my discs after two not-that-fast laps. They did not get warped though ... I would like to know if the 550 is one of those cars with recurrent warping discs problems, like the Audi S4 biturbo. |
