Thanks Peter.....everything else looks tight and dry up front. It's good to hear that about the seal being one piece. I can breath a little easier now. But still must take the crank pulley off, pull off the harmonic balancer, etc. Well I'm in it up to my neck...might as well go all the way. |

Jeff, that was the case for my front oil seal, just pressed in place from the front (that, plus the cam-drive pulley seals were leaking big-time on my motor. Since you've gone this far, you might want to check yours too). |

I removed the cambelt covers in an attempt to determine the source of the oil leak. It looks like the main seal is the culprit. I doesn't look like it's too bad to change, but in reality I have no idea what's involved. Is it simply a round seal that is tapped into place? That would be nice, but knowing my luck that probably isn't the case. Has someone out there done this? Thanks in advance for your help.
