Jeff,

I have not seen the glass yet. Ric says everything is in the box. So I'm repairing the AC so I can drive the car to Dallas to have the glass installed. Without AC, the 200mi trip would not be fun in 100F heat...

I'll let you know how I make out. BTW, thanks for the bleeding tip.

Carmine -

Apparently Snap-On sell one which we use in our workshop. It links up to a compressor and forces the brake fluid thru the system quicker so does away with the endless pumping. You will need someone standing by to make sure the resevoir doesn't run dry though.

Carmine -

Sure will...

By the way, has the windshield job worked out for you all ? Did you find the goodies in the box ?

Cheers.

Jeff,

Ask your technical fella about "pressure bleeding." I'm interested in tools needed and procedures to follow.

Thanks
Carmine

Hi Martin...

This from our technical fella...

Really need to know if it's a ABS car or Non ABS - however some of the checks are the same.

1. Free-play between the push-rod and the servo piston should be 1-3mm
2. Check for any obvious leaks
3. Check wheel bearings for excessive play
4. Check that all brake caliper pistons are free moving
5. Check brake hoses for bulging under pressure
6. If these checks are okay, then it looks like servo unit (pre-abs) or either the hydraulic control unit or the master cylinder pump
7. Have you tried "pressure bleeding" the system

Hi everyone,

You may recall giving me some advice on how to reduce the foot brake travel.

I have tried blleding the system - no difference
Checked the co2 - no difference
Adjusted the linkage - this had a small amount of play which has been removed. How much more travel can I take out via this adjustment. If I adjust this too much, will it affect the servo?

This adjustment is the only way I feel the travel can be reduced.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Martin.
