Bloody 'ell !! Sure is an interesting post but not along the lines I intended. Here's some pictures of some nice cars to change the subject !!! The 328 belongs to us and is used for PR stuff and the Masser is a brand new one, just off the truck. PS. The bicycle in picture 4 is Mark's - it's the QV version; Questionable Velocipede !

Most of Jeff and Mark's stuff, like below, is easily great reference info as well as a parts catalog for us techno-addicts. Their customer service excellence is well documented. They are great contributors and I hope to meet them and buy them a a pint (or two) next trip to Blairland - they sound extremely entertaining as Jeff has already sacked Mark at least once on-line here already.... best rt |

Agreed. Jeff has earned respect here (I speak for myself here--but I presume this applies to others as well). My sentiment is that Jeff's posts are thought out and considerate, and though a new member's posts of this nature might be inappropriate, his posts feel more in line. The main idea here is he's clearly established himself as one who supports the Ferrari community.

I welcome all of the Ferrari UK posts and look forward to them. They have been very helpful to numerous people. So many times they go out of their way to dig up parts, post pictures, and prices at our asking. Please show some respect to these guys. |

Strictly my 2 cents but I love seeing all those pitures of parts (my being a parts hound) piled up in the bins. If done sporadically the way Jeff Howe is doing it I don't see how it could be too irksome to too many people. You can always click on to the next post. Dino 246 parts pictures please! |

The posts from Ferrari UK usually make me say, "wow, I didn't know I could get that part" or "boy that's a good price for that." It's not like he is selling car stereos and it's not like he is posting every day. Count me as one of the ones that appreciate their info. |

Sponsors can post what they want as long as they're not spaming. No sponsor on FerrariChat.com has even come close to spaming yet. At most I'll see a sponsor thread maybe 1 out of 50. |

I think Rob's policy as he has noted in some threads is sponsors can do anything they want. Anything to the extreme is going to be a negative - I don't think we are at the extreme yet |

Don, let's take this to the extreme........... Suppose every sponsor posted catalog pages and price lists in the Q&A forum, which as you mention is their right. Then this area will be just an advertising arena with precious little room for true Q&A that would take a greater ammount of time to sift through for real tidbits of help and knowledge. I agree with Jeff Davison. You can count me in the "us." There is an ad section for this ad. And any individuals looking for a part can contact Ferrari UK directly with an email. Although, nobody here , including The Don, is an enforcer of policy, except for Rob Lay who owns this site. So, this is only a wish. |

I think Jeff Davison's request was a perfectly reasonable expression of his opinion. I think I agree: I'd prefer advertising, which this post clearly was, stay in the advertising sections (banners and whatnot) and that the actual text areas be reserved for actual technical questions and answers. |

Jeff, Guess what, you sound like an A$$ They not only go the extra mile for vintage owners, but they have been nothing but helpful. This posts raises nothing but questions for me in regards to other parts. If you do not like the subject, don't click on it. It's really that simple. |

Jeff, Really sorry to sound like an a**hole and this is nothing against you or the service you provide us all. But personally I'd like to keep this Q&A forum just that, questions of a technical nature and answers to thos inquiries rather than as advertisment for which parts are offered for sale from a comercial business. No offense ment and thanks for beint here for us but............... Jeff Davison |

Are the panels on the cars actually one piece? For example, does a front fender consist of a lower front, upper, and lower rear piece (in relation to the tire)? Or is it all one piece originally like the panels you are offering? I ask because repair panels in sections are available for 5 to 8 times less than what you list here. For example, another supplier also in the UK asks $140+90+50 for the three pieces that make up a front fender instead of the $1347 you list. I guess in case of a huge crash you'd want a whole fender. But for rust repair, the option of buying just the piece you need for a tenth to twentieth of the price of buying a whole fender is quite attractive. |
