How many years to be exempt? I am in NY and also have an 81. We are 20 years for exemption so it became exempt 2 years ago. Where are you? |

Does anyone have any good sources for getting my 308 it's yearly inspection? It is an '81 (still about 2 years to go before it is exempt from the tailpipe test), I bought it with "gutted" catalytics (now has test pipes), the airpump has been removed (it seized up on me, burned its belt, and COULD HAVE caused a timing chain skip-it is in the trash).
I really do not see the sense in sinking gobs of $$$ to bring it back in spec if it is going to be exempt in another year and a half.
Ideas? Ferrari "friendly" shops?
