That's how I removed mine, when the housing was off the engine. But, if you can find a Sears "Quickwrench" in that metric size, it'll probably work ("Quickwrenches" are not the kind that ratchet, but have an oddly-shaped open-end, which allow the same back-and-forth motion of a ratchet. I've used them at work and they're acceptable, but I find they need a large sweep in order to grab the next flat on the hex). |

What is the best way to remove this? It looks like a crows feet would work but I don't have any. I didn't want to remove the filter housing if I don't have to but it does look like it would make it much easier. Thanks. |
