I have seen and used these folding tops. They are a factory part. They work very well. They will fit 348 and 355 GTS versions. I think the retail price is closer to $1500 than $1000 though. |

Interesting - thanks for post! I don't see the folding top in the parts book, is it an actual Ferrari part, or aftermarket? For the bucks they charged for that car when new, they should have supplied one with each ts! |

I have one of the folding tops for the 348ts. Got it from Foreign Cars in NC about 3 years ago. Cost was about 1,000 including shipping. It works great, I never use the hard top and the soft top folds up and sits on the small shelf behind the seats. The hard top takes up too much room when mounted behind the seats and my frame has enough trouble fitting into the drivers seat. I highly recommend the folding top. |

Jeff, wow, that's a great idea! I wonder how well it worked? Justyn, I thought you just pull a 'Dukes of Hazard' instead of a 'Mary Lou' when enter/exiting, but that would be too much for the softtop. You're right, single garage sucks

How many of you 348ts owners are aware of this? It's a collapsable temporary soft top that can be carried in the trunk so you don't have to stow the targa top behind the seats. I saw one for sale on ebay a couple of years ago, but I've never seen one in person. |

JRK, unfortunately my driveway slopes upwards to the garage so I wouldn't be able to push mine in. I don't think standing on the seat without shoes on does any harm. In fact, I'm getting cleverer now, when I get in I can take just my left shoe off, stand on the seat with my left leg and lift my right leg straight from the garage floor and into the car footwell. My last house had a wider single garage and I could get in and out ok, it was only when I had moved in I realised that the garage door may be the same width but the garage itself isn't - never thought to check that! Justyn.

Justyn, I have single garage and its maybe a foor wider. I push the car in and out. No need to stand on the seat. |

How do I open the car door to get in & out? I don't! I park the car with the roof down, take my shoes off and drop them out of the car, then stand on the seat and climb out and finally put the roof back up. My next house WILL have at least a double garage! Justyn. |

Hi. Part number is 63685100 and was 617 when last stocked. We are out and there is no stock at the Factory. Sounds like an ebay job ! Hope this helps.

Jeff, I do not own a manual, do not know the parts number. Its shows a exploded diagram of the spider roof with a cover that clips onto the chrome rivets that are exposed when the roof is up. I think the cover is to protect the roof when its up while the car is parked up. The reason I am enquiring about the cover is because my roof sometimes bird crap on it and cats sit on the roof. Justyn ,nice car and car cover !!!! Not the cover I mean... Thanks |

I didn't know this type of cover existed. I cover the whole car when it is garaged - in an air bubble from carcoon (www.carcoon.co.uk or www.carcoon.com if outside the UK). Its supposed to circulate the air and prevent dampness.
Justyn.

I have seen in the 348 Spyder Parts manual a cover that fits over top of the fabric roof when the roof is up. Can this bought still ? How much ? |
