Bill,
Yes to the rivets, 4 I think on the corners of the front opening to hold a sheet metal pieces that duct the air toward the radiator. I'm still working on mine :-( soon I continue hope....

bill,
I just removed mine this spring..wear a long sleeve shirt and mechanics gloves...You should remove the front wheel well splash pannels (real easy a couple of screws) I also removed the louvers behind the headlights...this helped in accessing the many bolts...many of which just snapped due to age. the PITA part of this job is you need to use a small socket wrench and an open end wrench (holding the bolt in place)with not a ton of room to work...carriage bolts would have been a better choice and made life easier...but this a ferrari!

Thanks, Mark--say, did you find any rivets anywhere, as Mike indicated that I might ? By the way, how's your car coming along? I can't wait to hear the results!

Bill,
When I did mine, there was seam sealer covering a couple bolts in the wheel well be sure you find them all. Also the belly pan bolts all broke off, your car is cleaner (ok, a lot cleaner) than mine, so you may not have this problem. Good luck. As I recall your driveway is pretty steep, careful.

Thanks, Jeff, but a good friend of mine of Kaz Automotive in Montreal is fabricating one for me as we speak at a very low price.

I suggest you contact Nick at Nick's Forza (one of the FerrariChat sponsors). He sells a euro spoiler, so he'll know what needs to be done. I haven't done it myself, but I checked on its removal when I had it rebuilt and repainted after hitting a pothole and cracking it.

Are there any pitfalls in doing this job? As far as I can see, there are about 5-6 bolts on each side and 4-5 which secure the rear belly pan to the frame. Is that all there is to this job or am I missing something? Does anything need to be removed ahead of time besides the grill?

Thanks for any help--this is a first time job for me.

There are both bolts and rivets. The rivets you'll have to cut or drill out. You can get to them once you've removed the grille.

I'll be installing a Euro-styed front spoiler on my 308 soon. What is the procedure for removing the existing spoiler--ie where are the mounting bolts located and is there any cutting involved?
