Yes, after looking at my pic closer, I realize that's not what I want for the shoulders. I had just been focused in on the anti-subs. |

Rob, I think you would find the set-up Rex prefers to be more comfortable. It takes a bit longer to buckle up, but that shouldn't be a problem. I use that setup, but it's a formula car. |

Welding in mounts for the passenger was very common. Check the build dates on your harness, remember the Tech Nazis. If you must purchase new anti-subs, and the belts are due up next year, maybe now's the time for a full set. BTW, Simpson, and some others, reweb your hardware for $80/set or so. |

thanks Rob. Here's a picture of a 6 point Willans harness that I'm thinking about.
So you think it would be OK to run the 5 and 6 back to the lap belt eyes? I would prefer this so I don't have to do any additional drilling or bolting. For some reason my Willans harness now doesn't have anything for anti squat, just 2 lap and 2 shoulder. For some reason my car also has 4 eyes installed for the passenger seat. Maybe Ed set it up for an instructor at one time. |

Rob, You may also want to contact David Moore. He has a nice passenger seat set-up in Dana's 355 C.. |

355 Challenge only had mounts for the driver, FWIW... The anti-sub is bolted to a strip of steel plate welded to the floor under the seat, close to the longitudinal centerline of the seat, butted against the rearmost of the two lateral channels the seat itself is bolted to. One can clip the anti-sub belts to the lap belt mount if you wish. I highly recommend the formula style separate strap six-point anti-sub which wraps around your leg, threads through a D-ring, and loops around the clips for the shoulder straps and avoids the "boys". Ouch Rob |

I've asked this before, but now that I've really looked at it I need to ask again. I'm trying to get my passenger seat in and the harnesses set up correctly. Each of the driver and passenger sides only have 4 "eyes" for the clip in harnesses. 2 rear on the firewall and 2 lower back. Question: How does the between the legs strap connect in? If you look at the following site (which is the brand of my current harness) you see several 6 point examples. Do the ones between the leg go back to the rear floor "eyes"? I'm not use to this because on my RX7's they are 5 point and the 5th connects to the floor front and center. Thanks BTW, the passenger seat worked out perfect. Of course the driver side is the carbon fiber expensive seat, well I had a Rx7 friend give me his fiberglass Momo seat, they look exactly the same, although probably about a $1,500 price difference.
