Not sure about four-point lifts, but I place jack-stands at the front, right at the corners of the frame, directly behind the wheel opening. At the rear, I place a set of stands at the lift points (my jack lifts on the frame slightly ahead of those points). So far, I haven't poked any holes into the bottom of the car yet, or dropped it on the floor. |

How do you lift a 308GT4? I know about the recommended lift points near the rear wheels, but when using a regular 'gas station' type lift, I'm a little lost. My car has several repairs on the underbody from previous attempts to lift it, with a resulting puncture of the undertray. There doesn't appear to be any obvious front lift points. On the outside edge of the car near where the frame should be doesn't cut it. Note that I think this problem may be unique to the 'GT4, as I gather the GTB/GTS series is easier to lift. |
