Just drill out the rivets and off she will come. Please note that it takes a very narrow rivet gun to replace the rivets that will fit between the louvers. |

308 grill removal. Has anyone removed the 2 engine louvre grills on an early (77) 308 ? I'like to remove these this winter and see if I can put in a hinge arangement to make it easier to clean. I see the rivets so I assuming that all I need to do is drill them out and the assemble will pop out. Is this the case? Thanks Steve |

There are 4 nuts (10mm)holding the black grill to the painted piece and the body - the two in the middle are easiest to identify the location by locating the top of the post through the grill - use the two outside ones for reference. Once that comes off, the painted part is held on with 4 bolts (10mm)that are relatively close to the nuts that held on the grill. They are fairly tough to see, but you can feel them and remove them by "touch". I had better luck removing the driver side inside bolt from the passenger side of the engine compartment. Have Fun!!! |

How does one remove the grill behind the rear window to access the front of the engine compartment. Does the grill come off only or does the painted part come out too. Is it the two bolts under the grill and two small ones on top and then it comes off? Adam |
