I don't think I'm ready for Rub n Buff yet. I know I have to do something about the little bit of rust on the sheet metal above the coils.

I thought I should add this engine bay view as archived reference for an early 1976 Fiberglass 308 GTB.

Magoo,

I remembered you once stated that you cut it with WD-40. I bought some this weekend and before I start, I want to know what ratio did you find to work the best?

I am faced with rebuilding my fuel distributors and will rejuvenate the top half of the motor while the intakes and stuff are off.

Thanks, Joe

I can't believe how a little goes such a long way. I think 3 of those little tubes and my entire house can be metallic silver.

Magoo, I've tried this RnB like you've suggested and it works miracles! My question is what is it?
Is it like a paint,or does perform some kind of chemical reaction with the old metal,or what? How durable is it? Can you remove it when you want to?

A month or so I was reading the thread on restoring engine block shine, where Magoo suggested Rub n Buff. My TR muffler was looking a little ugly, so I thought i'd put some on under the heatshield then drive around for a few weeks and see how it held up. After a month of driving (400 miles or so) I took the heatshield off again today, and the silver leaf RnB looks just like it did when I applied it. Next time I take the muffler off, I'll do the whole thing. I was more than a little supprised that it held up so well.

Thanks Magoo.

Scott
