Can anyone help to identify and provide part numbers etc. for 1959 250GT with Lucas Distributors. These were provided in 1959 by Lucas Racing Division, as an attemp to lure Ferrari into using them. Of course Ferrari used the Distributors on their production cars until they were used up.
I know of three cars with this system including tha fantastic black California Spyder owned by Mr. Smith in Seattle. I know this distributor was used on racing Jaguars in 1959, as well as Aston Martin.
There are no numbers on the distributor, and they simply say Lucas Racing Division on them.
I will need to replace the caps and rotors soon.
An award will be given for the correct answer!
