Search the archives. Several people have reported successful cleaning with Oxyclean (or was it Oxysolve?). Kelly (Tifosi1) swears by Woolite colored fabric cleaner. There may be others. BTW, all of these are hydrogen peroxide based cleaners or bleaches for colored fabrics. My swag is that any peroxide based colored fabric bleach would work as well.

The roof and back shelf material on my 87 328 GTS is looking very grubby, has anyone retrimmed theirs? I presume the material is simply glued onto the roof insulation (I don't know if a GTB roof is the same). I would hate to tear off the old, material causing damage to the foam underneath because that would show through with the new stuff. And what about a source for the material, I have seen it at a couple of places for $140 for the piece !!! it is pretty ordinary looking stuff. Anyone had any success doing a good cleaning/stain removal? All advice welcome !! |
