Robert, while you're at it, do you know the size of the metric bolt that holds down the cable wire from the lever to the heater valve #43? I dropped mine under the master cylinder/booster and can't find it...tried the old magnet trick but nothing :-(

Really? It honestly calls out to you: "Grazie Roberto, grazie..."?

Peter,
Thanks, unfortunately I am using all metric hoses. For some reason I do not mind throwing money at the car as it seems to enjoy it. I also was looking for a brass one that would be more permanent. I would hate to add a plastic one to the system.

Rob, I am going off of memory here, but I think its either 1/2" or 5/8" I.D. hose (well its actually metric, but don't waste your time and money on that stuff. The local auto-parts store has tons of inch-size heater hose). Buy some lengths of each.

And cooling-system flushing kits usually come with an assortment of different size "Tee" flushing pieces. Hook up the garden hose to them and flush away, or use it as a drain in your case.

Freinds,

If any of you guys have your gt4 cooling system apart I need the interior diameter of the cooling hose that goes from the bottom of the radiator tube to the "t" up near the heater boxes. The hose is featured on TAV 16 of the 1976 parts book as #48 part 106708. Or the outside diameter of the large tube off the "t" #62 part # 104303 on the same page. I am looking for some kind of ball valve to insert in this hose to facilitae cooling changes. normally I just pull this off and the stuff squirts everywhere. I am getting better but would still like some help. I seems like evertime I need to service something the coolant has to come out. Has anyone ever dome this before? Iknow i could remove the hose and check but was hoping to have the part ready to insert when there.

Thanks in advance for any info

Rob
