Thanks to everyone I'll have a go at this job this weekend. I've been off line for a few day. |

The release handle is attached with one phillips head screw. You need to remove the door handle to get it off though. The door handle is attached with 2 hex head bolts at the bottom and 1 allen head bolt at the top. You need to remove the door panel I am pointing at in the picture to get to the door handle bolts. To remove the panel first take out the 2 screws in the trim piece I am pointing at in the picture and the 1 screw on the opposite side. The panel can be pulled off at that point as it is attached with little plastic fasteners like the one in the picture. Don't worry if you break them. They are easy to get and cheap. Once you have it all apart you can remove the rubber coating from the handle using denatured alcohol. Then you just need a high quality spray paint to refinsh them. Good luck!

I was thinking of getting mine powder coated black. The passenger one is ok but the drivers side is worn back to the metal in places and looks tatty. I'd be interested in knowing how much they cost new (for comparison) and how to remove them? Justyn. |

I want to have mine made in carbon fibre. They can be stripped backed to alu, which look good as well. |

Hi, Has anyone refurbished the interior door release handles on a 348 or is it a matter of replacement. Mine are looking a little work with the black covering wearing off. If its a matter of replacement how much do these cost. TIA |
