Luuk, Just for reference - the Part number is 62658900 This is the smaller diameter pipe (Delivery) that Ernie is talking about. (The larger pipe (Return) is part number 62659000) It would be also an excellent time to check the condition of the other pipe, especially around the fixing clip where the other pipe has fractured. Thanks Ernie, I am wandering if this happened to someone before or am I the first one. When I bought the car from the last owner he told me that the ac was not working because the time belt was replaced and there was no alternative gas available so the ac never works as long I had the car. Now with this hot long summer and a trip to Italy is coming up Ill thought that I give it a try to fix it .We put gas in it we saw the broken tube but it is possible that it was broken already for a long time. I will put the car on the lift tomorrow and give it a try. Luuk

Luuk, the best thing for you to do is just to remove the tube and have a new one bent, or fixxed with it out. There is a long fiberglass cover that runs under the bottom of the car, that covers the plumming for the a/c, heater, shift and throttle linkage. Is isn't hard to remove. I think that there are about 12 nuts holding it on. Also you will have to remove the gas tank cover, there are about 8 nuts holding that on. Once you remove the covers you can see the a/c lines running the length of the car. Just take them out and have the shop either fix them or, bend you new ones. Good luck. |

Hello, One of my air-condition lines has broke right where it is mounted to the back side of the engine room (red arrow) I dont know how it happened but its a fact. There is a company nearby ho is able to repair the aluminium pipe but there is not enough space between the engine and the backside to make a new connection on the pipe. They advised me to find a point where it is possible for them to make a new connection so a special tube could be made from there till where it has broke. (Maybe at somewhere at the bleu line) A complete new line would be expensive and not really needed Ill hope. Thinking of how this can be fixt any input will be much appreciated. Luuk I will make some picture's to ad to the threat
