Ken. The blue plug is a fuel cut-off switch and the white plug is for the frequency valve(the thing you have unplugged). Your car must not be running too well with that valve unplugged!! Plug it back in,and make sure the vavle buzzes when the engine is running. If it does not,then check the relay located in the luggage compartment in the right rear corner under the carpet, undernieth the metal panel. The relay is easy to spot as it has a 10 amp fuse in the top and it will be the largest relay on the panel.

Below is a picture of the fuel distributor to my 308QV. On the right of the distributor is a blue plug, and on the left of the distributor is a white plug (it is next to the bottom of the big black hose and right below the big brass round thing. I have the cable that normally is attached to the white plug unplugged). What are these two plugs for?
