Ken, My understanding agrees with Russ, no further adjustment of FI is needed with a "bolt-on" intake or exhaust mod like a muffler/test pipe or air filter. |

It's my understanding that the k-jet mechanically senses air mass flow (with the big plate levered to the fuel distributor) and gives you enough gas for that amount of air - ergo, retuning a K-jet after an exhaust mod is not as neccesary. What Kjets are known for is limiting the choice of cam, as more aggerssive cam profiles send reversion pulses back up the airway and confuse the mechanical air mass sensor plate.

Maybe I should ask this in a new thread, but here it goes: I'd imagine carbs would have to be retuned when you change the exhaust system... but is the same true for the K-Jet mechanical FI? |

I too would be interested in pictures. I am especially curious as to how the tips are attached. I like the idea of uncorking the pipes once in a while but on those longer runs I would like the option of capping that stuff off. Can't see paying 800-1000 more for a polished system that can't be seen. Sound? I have heard a Borla on a GT4 and sounds very good, not too loud. Too bad they aren't building for Fcars anymore. DJ |

I just put a Stebro on my 83 308. The sound is great. Also it has removable silencers in the tips so you can make it really loud which would be cool at the track. Driving with all the tips out is amazing (or deafening, your choice). The quality is good, but obviously not as spectacular as a Tubi but you can't see it anyway. Ansa is about $500 more. Tubi is about double. |

Barney, Please post photos...I have never seen one of their systems, and they advertise a lot in Forza and seem to have generated a lot of interest. |

I have a stebro on my 308GT4. Sounds great. It was 1/2 the price of a tubi. Well worth it. Send me an e-mail if you have any further questions. Dom |

I believe the Tubi is worth the money, as they do look nice, even though much of it is hidden on a 308/328/Mondial. If you shop it carefully, you can find them for under $2k delivered for your application....do your "due diligence" before buying... :-) |

Also try Timevalve. They made my set up and it is really nice. The muffler was half the price of Tubi but I also had them make some test pipes. |

While I have a tubi and really like it, I did talk to stebro when I bought my Stebro 'Euro resonator' (muffled test pipe) and they seemed quite good on the phone and will work with you to your specificaton. Their stuff is not near as nice as the tubi to look at, but they can give you what you want. They said they could even make a flow through muffler that was quiet(er). Would not be a bad thing, I think, to have a Stebro. best rt |

I wouldnt spend for a tubi either because you wont see it on a US 308 with the muffler cover not to mention I think they are over priced. |

has anyone bought a stanless Stebro exhaust system? They are 1/2 the price of a Tubi but not polished. I'd like to upgrade the muffler on my 84 308 GTSi but don't necessarily want to spend $2,500 for the Tubi. http://www.stebro.net/stwc.htm |
