You will almost certainly require a replacement warm-up regulator - by removing the plug you are not heating the bi-metal strip and are therefore lowering the fuel pressure. However it is still worthwhile checking the fuel pressure, you need to take readings with the plug removed and with the plug connected, with ignition on, also there are readings to be taken applying a vacuum to the unit. You should be able to get the required data on the Bosh website MW |

Thats a warm up regulator. It sets the fuel system pressure. You should check your fuel pressure with a gauge and check with WSM specs. I have specs on the regulator at home and can send to you tonight when I get home if you need them. |

I have posted other threads about the hot starting problems of my 1981 308 GTBi. I have narrowed it down to this part. Basically if I swap the two blue leads I can get the car to start but it runs very bad and dies. On replacing them back to their correct places the car will start (nearly) normally. I would like to know if I need to buy a new part or if this part can be stripped and repaired.
