The results are in, the seats look awesome. Send em to Twin Falls Idaho and Wayne will get them done within 2 weeks. 1 hide was able to do both seats and headrests- minus the passenger back pouch. Total bill for the entire interior less center console, dash and doorpanels was just over $800.

I Import the Factory leather covers for seats and door pannels for most Ferrari cars, they are built to order in Italy. There are diffrent types of leather,my father in law worked for Rolls Royce in the UK and they have a small leather business in Canada, not all leather is the same!I have seen hundreds for skins,in Connelly and diffrent types of leather and I have even seen a Few Candian skins that looked pretty good[lots of cows in Canada],but if you are to put them side by side compared to a skin that Ferrari would use,you would see the diff. |

I am recovering my 84 now. My tan interior had faded so badly that I couldn't just do the seats. If I did them only the rest of the inside wouldn't match. I ordered new seat leather from Re-originals in TX. Matt got me exactly the same material as used from the factory. We actually sent one seatcover to Italy so the guy could double check all the details. I ordered extra hide for the doors and center console so everything would match perfectly. It was amazing to open a box and see a NEW 308 seat and to compare it to my old one. I'll post pictures when it's done. The seats were pricey but the extra roll of leather for the rest of the interior was under $400 |

You guys think I can get away with just having the seats recovered, as opposed to having the door panels done too? The doors and dash are perfect. The passenger seat bottom has a 2 inch tear in it, and the drivers seat is OK, just worn. I'd like to leave the doors alone, and hope that they can match the color of the door panels?? Possible? |

I think that is actually the best kept secret of Ferrari ownership. The guys around the corner can help you a ton if you know what to look for (if you know what you're supposed to be getting and doing). |

Check with your local trim shops. You would be surprised what these guys can do and at usually a reasonable price versus the inflated prices that some of the suppliers charge. |

I had my seats re-upholstered not to long ago. I went to the best place in town, and had the seats done along with the matching door skins. They had some wonderfull calfs hide left over from a job on a corporate jet, that matched the original un-faded color perfectly. The cost with an extra hide as a just in case was a cool thousand dollars.... Much beter cost than the replacement hide kit offered for around $2600.00 for the seats, and $1600.00 for the doors. And they look and feel great!!! |

Ummm, say Erik!! Tell me where you are getting the seats redone for under $500. My passenger seat bottom in my 308 QV is ripped, and as we both know, you cannot just recover one seat, you gotta do both. Please let us know!! I thought it would cost me about $750-$800 A PIECE!! |
