I imagine he is running all kinds of scams on Ebay under fake names. Let him have it! I hate these guys. They do not learn their lesson until they are in jail... |

I agree Frank - unfortunately the guy is some tool that doesn't have a nickel - he fraudulently represented he was associated with a reputable engine rebuild place when in fact he was just some dork that doesn't work there who was going to do the work himself - here's the last statement he made to me about his auction: ****** Mr. Norton- I understand all of this. I messed up. Big time. I was simply trying to make my life a little easier by getting some work. I did it incorrectly. I do not know how much to apologise. I do not have the money, I have nothing. My family has nothing. I am trying to get out of a hard part in my life. Please help me here. I know you can find it in your heart to let this go. It was a very simple mistake that has been made into something huge. I do not know how to beg you. I do not have the $$. I am sure you probably have kids (I do not) and this would hit home for you. Please see where I am coming from. I did not mean to use anyone's name fraudulently. The Hedrick's know that. They know I was simply trying to make them and myself some cash in these hard times. Please. I do not have anything. The only I have left to sell is my soul. Please do not ruin my life. I am begging you. thank you- john ****** Dude's name is John Spelic - I understand that he's a Ferrari groupie that comes to lots of FNA events in my area.

Don, It looks like you are the entitled to a engine rebuild for 10.50 Maybe you can settle with them for the parts and you have someone else do the work |

I remember that "whupping" auction. Best I've ever seen. Don't know if he got good feedback. |

VZ, No cracks in any of the belts, and they are guaranteed to last through AT LEAST the installation process... :-) But would recommend NOT starting the engine. |

I have seen someone auction off a "sinlge, plain piece of typing (or Xerox) paper; bidding went to 11 cents... The best was a guy auctioning off an "ass-whooping". If you were the winning bidder, he would come too your house and beat the crud out of you. The masocists went crazy over the idea :-)

Hey that's not a bad idea - sell clear plastic containers of used motor oil that was used in a Ferrari engine. I bet you'd get some bids. Be a cool conversation piece/paperweight/garage widget for non-owner peeps who are Ferrari fans. |

I saw the "nothing" ebay auction. Nothing sold for $15. However there were not shipping or handling charges.... apparently nothing requires no shipping. It was pretty funny. |

Don, Actually, you should buy them for untold dollars, then install them in your car, destroy your engine, then sue me to high heaven and make me eat my words! Yeah, that'll teach me, for being a smart ass! :-( |

Hey, They're worth something (at least a buck) as you can use them to make a tool to keep the cam gears aligned during a belt change.. Gary, That piece of cardboard beats the guy who sold a copy of Bluemel's Original Ferrari V8 for $125 or so! He had 5 guys bidding it up! I had a spare copy, so I sent eMAIL to the runner-ups offering to sell it at their bid price to the 1st one to respond & one of them bit! He retracted it the next day after someone pointed him to Amazon. Not sure if I really would have followed thru tho. As Barnum used to say 'There's one born every minuite!" |

Ebay never ceases to amaze me! I've got my unusable 2V injected muffler (won't fit on a GT4) on there right now...it's over $100. I have no use for it so away it goes. Have you heard about the guy that sold "nothing" on ebay? Don't remember how much he got for "nothing" but it was something! |

Funny, but there have been 38 hits on those dumb ass belts, and my good friend Gary Reed is the high bidder at $1! Yeah, and the cheap b*stard even saves shipping, since I can drop them off in a Safeway grocery bag at our next FCA meet. Gary, YOU DA MAN! :-) I think he's going to make a giant sling shot in his backyard with them.... |

My most amazing eBay sale ever was for a "piece of cardboard" that went for $275! It was an old promotional record bin sign for the English band XTC. It had been stored in my attic for the last 15 years and I figured I would be lucky to get maybe $20 for it... |
