Best thing is to remove the seat, being carefull with the wiring, turn it upside down and you will be able to see where the problem is - normally it's in the racking mechanism, which can be purchased separately, but usually can be repaired if you're lucky. MW |

As for the latch the cable and or cable mounts at the rear towards the tunnel stretch or get loose. The lock nut at the end of the cable can be loosened and the jam nut on the other side of the mount can be loosened and the cable can be shortened. be very careful as the threaded shaft is very fragile and if it is broken your dealer will charge you about 600 dollars to replace the cable. I don't know about the lack of travel forewards. Winston |

The driver seat of my 1996 will not move forward by more than 1/3 of the regular distance. Also when using the latch to push to seat in and allow rear ingress, the seat does not move at all. It will move all the way back and all the other controls work. Any ideas? |
