Ctk,
Actually, that is what I am doing, I am disconnecting the hose from the fiberglass housing and running a flexible metal peice down the hose to clear (nothing came out). It was after this, that I found just above this hose fitting that inside a trough, there was water and an accumulation of foam bits. Even though the hose and drain opening were clear, the trough was clogged. The opening to get to the trough is so small that the only way I could figure to clean that was to use the tiny vacuum wand attachments I had....It worked, and all is well for now. I tried the compressed air idea several weeks ago, but still needed to take things apart as there were LARGE peices of foam up in there blocking the air vents and drain. Again, the hose was clear, but the drain area was clogged, and no simple way to get at the drain from above and remove the material.

Dave,

How about blowing compressed air down the tube, preferably away from the ac unit, to prevent water or bits 'blowing back'?.

Well, I thought I had previously had this problem licked, and low and behold, water is dripping from under the dash again! The previous fix was to remove the kick plate on the right side and remove the hose and clear it, then remove the flexible duct from the vents below the stereo and pull out all the crumbling foam that is in front of the condenser.

Well, it appears I didn't get ALL the bits of foam. I checked the hose, and it appeared clear, as I ran a flexible line down it and nothing came out. When I reach up through the vent and touched into the right side trough, where the water collects, I could feel water in there with my finger tips, and more bits of foam. If the trough was working right, it is angled back toward the firewall, and should allow the water to drain into the hose. Obviously some of that foam was blocking the flow, but I couldn't figure out how I was going to reach back in there to get it out. I struggled with my flexible $2 grabber tool and ended up with nothing! Then I remembered I had this little vacuum tool set that is used for cleaning computer keyboards and such. I bought if from www.Autosportcatalog.com and used the angled crevis tool attached to my Hoover. Well, after more contortions, that seemed to suck it all up. I reach back up there and could feel no more water or foam bits.

I will have to drive the car and use the air con for a couple more weeks to be sure, but I am hoping this is the last time I have to mess with this. :-)
