Hey Mitch!Pull the plugs first and read them,next pull the caps/rotors off,check them of course,do a ohm meter test on all the wires and stand offs,right down the readings, make sure that every cylinder is getting spark,if it looks like every cylinder is getting spark,note if there is a difference in how the front set of 4 and the rear set of 4 plugs are burning,if one bank is really fat as far as how the plugs read,the cams could be out of sync or its probably the fuel distributor,I have come across lots of bad fuel distributors,you can run some system pressure tests etc.I have come across very few bad cold start valves in 308/328 engines.Then take a shot of JD and call me in the mornin!Nick Scianna..

I have a customer's Mondial 8 on consignment here in Atlanta. The car seems to have some sort of fuel enrichment related issue. It all points to the cold start valve or the accumulator. Sometimes it starts up without a problem, but sometimes it really does not want to start. If I tap the gas, it floods the car. Then it will start and run, but will run very roughly, then it will clear itself and run fine. I have also noticed a big puff of unburnt fuel come out the pipes, when it is flooded. THEN, after she fires and I let it warm properly, it will miss and hesitate a little right after a shift. I'm going to look at the ignition sytem (plugs, wires, extenders and coil) and I will be replacing the air/fuel/oil filters too. But mainly will address the cold start valve. How hard is it to do, is there an old thread on how to replace it on the 2v fuelies?

The car will be for sale once I have it running properly again. I just got my Ferrari consignment business Autostrada Ventures incorporated. I am WAY excited!!
