If it's like the 308QV (I'm pretty sure it is) then there is a bunch of wires, bottoms of switches, etc just pretty much floating around in there. The Italians weren't too big on running on a wiring harness or something tidy along these lines. The just seem to run the individual wires where they have to go, somewhat reminiscent of my middle school science projects. If it sounds like it is in the console area I would pull it apart and take a quick look. The shifter shaft runs in the midst of the mess in there so it's easy to see how it could be rubbing on something. On the QV it is really easy to pull apart the console, just take the two screws out of the ash tray bottom and it unhooks in the back. I would be the 328 is similar.

After i warmed up .I am getting a rubbing noise when i change into any gear except 1st.its most noticable going into 2nd. It sounds like something is rubbing right under the center console. Its not a metal on metal sound, its more of a metal rubbing on plastic. If i repeat the same gear without entering another gear it does not happen. If i go into 3rd it will make the noise then back to second it will happen again. After with the motor off,it was even more noticable.Any ideas will be much appreciated
