the tach on my 1980 308 gtsi doesn't work initially when I start the car, but after warm up it works fine. Any comments?

When my tach quit working I was able to switch the wiring harness on the two digiplex. If i remeber correctly it was the brown wire in the second position on one of them. The other harness did not have a wire in the second position.

David thanks for the help. This is funny. I didn't mean my age, I meant the age of the diagram.(fadded and torn)

Maybe you can get a younger person to help you read the wiring diagram.
Seriously, the tach is fused with the other instruments. It could be a bad connection or the tach could be done for. If you don't already have one, you need a volt-ohm meter to run down electrical problems like this.

Please help. My wiring diagram is very difficult to read due to age. Does the wire from the coil to the tach go through a fuse? The fuse box just says insterments. The tach has quit working and I cant find a burnt fuse. Maybe just a loose wire? Thanks, Joel
