Hey Pauli, I have the same problem, but the "lady screaming" isn't usually an issue. It's usually ME screaming when it drains on my bare leg! DAMN it's cold!

I went scavenging and got a length of 3/32" steel cable, suitably springy and flexible and plastic coated to be extra gentle. I'm pretty sure I got it all the way to the box; now I just have to see if the problem's gone.

You asked what tool to use. If you still are going to snake it out, use a coat hanger wire and put a small loop in the end so that you will not puncture anything.

Pauli, according to your comment you are close to the hose and the box. If the snakeing and the vacuum do not work then remove the hose and try to fish it out that way and also try to clean the evaporator box where the hose connects.

Instead of snaking or blowing air up the drain hose (both of which tend to only be short term fixes since the debris remains in unit) take a vacuum and suck the line out, use your hand or a funnel to interface between the large vaccum hose and the small drain hose.

Ok, please bear with me here, I'm a beginner with both Ferraris and troubleshooting a/c... I took a closer look under the dash and in the a/c diagram in the owner's manual and I think I got the idea now. I didn't see anything wrong with the box or the hose attachment to it, and you're right: I didn't snake the hose all the way up into the box. What would you recommend I use as a tool? The regular plumber's snakes I've seen look a bit too heavy duty for this.

Pauli, An after thought. I have seen some of the boxes leak and let the condensation run out before it gets to the drain hose. I don't think this is your problem but you never know.

According to your comment it sounds like you didn't snake the hose all the way up into the box. If you did the only other thing I could think of would be the hose has come off the bottom of the box.

The hose was clear, at least the hanging part. Other suggestions?

Pauli, The A/C evaporator core box is not draining properly. There is a hose from the evaporator hanging down under the right front of the car. Try snakeing the hose and removing the obstruction.

I drove the 328 today for the first time in hot, humid weather with a/c going near full blast and parked twice for a short time. Both times right after I started the engine again, about half a cup of cold water ran to the floor apparently from somewhere around the a/c outlet down in the center console. I hope it was just condensed water gathered in the ducts and not something more serious? Anyway, how can I make it stop doing that?

(Imagine a lady on the passenger seat screaming when the ice cold water suddenly hits her legs...)
