Cool William! This is my first Ferrari as well. I'll get in touch with you for more info. I would plan a reunion at the upcoming FCA meet in L.A., are you going?.... J This is why I love this site! Thanks Rob |

All, Thanks for the bulletin. It is exactly what is needed. I will see if Rutlands or someone has one. My car vin is 10366. I bought it from Larry Daniel in NC. The car was 90 % dismantled and I finished taking it apart. It was rusted off about 1/3 the way down. It took 6 years and 10 months but now is a show winner. Burnell ps I need a new project now. |

Peter, That's amazing! Small world I guess. I'll look for the photos I have of the car. Looks like you've kept it in excellent condition. That was my first Ferrari, and it's nice to know it's still around and in good hands. Bill Badurski Technical Chairman- Ferrari Club of America |

Hi Burnell, here is Tech bulletin SB84-1, it shows the modifications to A/C for the GT4. This was standard on Series 2 GT4's.

Uhh, William, that's my car!
All I knew is that back in the late eighties, someone owned it in North Carolina. In the nineties, it ended up here, in B.C. Canada. |

Peter, Yes, that is what mine looks like except for the added vent. This will not work well enough in South Texas. I think what I will do is go to one of the after-market AC hot rod guys. They install AC in modified hot rods so they have access to lots of equipment. |

Now that William mentions it, I do remember reading in the Forza Buyer's Guide about the GT4 (Issue #7), that that was an update on cars built after 1976 (after S/N: 12888). It also mentions that this could be done to ealier cars upon the owner's request. But this was only two additional outlets on the bottom of the dash, just below the vent switches. Is this what yours looks like?:

As I recall, the factory kit for GT4's consisted of ducting and two additional under dash center outlets. No changes to the a/c system hardware. It was better because the air wasn't heated by the sun before it reached you. I believe there was a Service Bulletin on this, and perhaps a dealer can dig it up for you. That would give you some part numbers to search for. |

From what I recall, the factory kit for GT4's was ducting and two additional under dash outlets. No change to the a/c system hardware. It was better than the windshield outlets, as the air wasn't heated by the sun before it hit your face! |

From your description Burnell, its the same system that I have (except with no altered dash and extra vents). My A/C isn't powerful, but it didn't really concern me as I'm up here in Canada.... J Do you know how much refrigerant you have in your system? Many past postings at this site went into the details of Ferrari A/C refilling and with what types. Look back using the "Keyword Search" function. Your problem may be low fluid in your system. |

try rainbowproductsonline.com or www.griffiths.com. Give us an update on what you decide to do. A/c is a very big issue for those of us in Florida. |

Peter, Would you describe what you have for AC in your 75 308 GT4? Burnell |

No, it is not aftermarket. Everything is stock per the parts manual I have except the hole in the bulkhead and the vent - which is easily removed. The original system delivered AC air only to the windshield. |

So is this an aftermarket system you have in your car? Its a bit crowded up front under the dash, I don't see how it could easily fit another system. |

I have a 75 308 GT4 that has AC but only a blower that delivers air to the windshield. Someone cut a hole in the dash bulkhead and installed a vent but it is not enougn for South Texas. I understand Ferrari had a kit that went under the dash on the passengers side. Did it have a blower? Did it have an evaporator? Anyone have one for sale? Anyone have an alternative solution.
