Good stuff and thanks. Long story short, my wife just took possession of the 308 in VA. I'm in HI and leaving in 4 long months. The OM is on it's way via FedEx to me. I'll look to see...I just wanted to let my wife know what to throw in there when she does drive it. Thanks again, Dane

Dane -- IMO if your 308 is the standard US 8.8:1 CR, and you're not running a boatload of extra ign. advance, 87 AKI (which is probably about 92 RON) should be A-OK. If you note pinning on hot days under heavy load just move up to 91 AKI. What does your year/version OM spec?

Thank you for your help, Paul. I don't want to make it seem like I'm asking a question and disagreeing with the answer but, I thought a lower octane fuel would work better due to the lead content? Thanks again, Dane

sunoco gold 94 octane. I forget the suggested octane from ferrari but I thought it was in the 100's.
