Frank and David are right. try's 1) white buffing compound 2) if #1 not working, wet sanding with 600 or higher grit. followed by white compound. , then, clear coating. (I prefer PPG) Maybe they can remove the deck lid to do #2. But then you deck lid might look better (wetter) then your whole car. |

Most Ferraris have Glasurit paint except for the newer models that use PPG. |

Collin, What year is your 308. Ferrari changed paints they used from the 70's to the 80's models... I have a 77 year model that was painted with Eurolac, and have found that a lot of the imperfections can be rubbed out. The trick is not to start with a polish, but with a rubbing compound and a buffer, then next to a fine cut compound, followed by a swirl remover, and then a polish followed by your choice of protection... If that don't work, Frank is right, wet sanding is the next option. |

Collin, My 1976 308 GTB has a bit of that on the engine deck lid. As my car is fiberglass, it's just is a bit of cloudiness involving the center portion between the louvers. It might be due to engine heat as you say. For now, I'll just keep it waxed. Barry |

Try Klasse All-in-One. If that doesn't work, have it wet sanded. If that doesn't work, see a good paint and body man. |

On the rear deck lid of my car, there is "spotty" and cloudy discoloration on the entire lid, plus on the other painted area that is in the middle of the deck lid but separate. This looks like oxidation, but I have tried several polishes (by hand) and nothing seems to remove them. It looks like maybe the heat from the engine may have caused this, as the rest of the car does not have the cloudy spots. Anyone else experienced this? Suggestions? |
