Mitchell, did you give them the part # that's written on my canister in my picture (#107745)? Look on Tav. 49 in the P.C. This is for the Australian version GT4, but their emissions set-up is identical to the earlier US cars. It sounds to me they sent you the wrong filter...

I got this canister from the Ferrari dealer. This is the correct one (although the original is a metal canister, this new one I have is plastic). It is about 4" in dia. and about 6" tall.

Ed,

Your right, my bad. Too many #'s in my head lately. I tore apart the bad FD and forgot how many parts were inside those little buggers.

The 380 is an 8 cylinder car. Maybe some of the components are the same. I would think that a 300E would be closer since it is a six cylinder.

Mitchell, sorry I couldn't help.

Ed, that's interesting. While trying to find a FD rebuild kit, I have been told that the 380 FD is the same as the TR's. Joe

Ferrari Joe, That looks just like one from a Mercedes 380 or 500SL. I bet they would interchange.

Mitchell,

What were the dimensions of the old one? I have one that you might be able to use. Mines 11.5 high X 3.5 X 2.75 wide.

I ordered a simple carbon canister for my 75GT4 and GT CarParts sent this Superceding part that is 4 times bigger than the old one, has 4 more hose connections than the old one and I am at a loss.

Does anyone know how to connect this monster, and where it is supposed to be mounted? It certainly would not fit on the rear firewall for sure.
