Probably is the positraction plates in the rear end. Go to a GM Dealer and get a bottle or two of the special Positraction lube and add it to the transmission / rear end reservoir and your troubles will probably go away in about 20 miles of driving.

I am getting a "growling" noise (as best as I can describe it) in the rear of my 348 when making right hand turns at speed. This generally only occurs when the car is warm, over 35mph, or driving a right corner on an incline (under load). I initially suspected wheel bearings, but my mechanic inspected the bearings and suspension and found nothing out of the ordinary. It does not sound like CV joints either. Almost like something is vibrating. Any thoughts?
