It'll definitely be the caliper that'll need the adjustment. This sets the pad distance. The cable adjuster just takes up the slack in the cables.

There is a substitute, aftermarket part from a Porsche 914 to replace the Ferrari adjustment screw. Steve M. kindly gave me this info some time ago:

914 Rear Caliper Plug part# 4999
Performance Products,
Van Nuys, CA
1-800-423-3173

It basically is the same thread, but has a 10mm external hex head for easier adjustment.

Greg,
Make sure your pads are not sticking in the calipers, then check the calipers adjustments. I'll think the manual advise you to insert a feeler gauge (0.10mm) between the pad and the disc (rotor) while tightening the adjustment screws on the calipers. When caliper adjustments are OK, move on to the cable.
Don't forget to lube all pulleys

I sent an email to you. The only other thing I could think of is actually on the caliper itself where that shaft is that the cable pulls on to push out the pot. Any ideas guys?

The forks are moving and the cable is very tight. I did adjust the cable. The more it is adjusted the more the forks turn in towards the engine. It still didn't work. I am not sure what other adjustments to try. Thanks.

It seems pretty simple, I know on my car all it is is: a cable that the ebrake handle ratchets forward, when this happens it turns a fork in the back that pulls the two wheel's cables tight. All they do is push the pot out and hence the brake pad against the rotors. I would check to see how far the pot is getting pushed out (you can do it visually if you take off the wheel). Check that the fork is moving right. Everything could be checked by eye really.

Greg - are you just working on the cable adjustments or on the caliper adjustments too?

I looked at my E-brake today and it still isn't working. I adjusted it until it was fully out of adjustment. It still doesn't hold. What do I need to check next? Thanks for the info.
