The black I use on my TR front spoiler/skirt is:

SEM TRIM PAINT 39143 TRIM BLACK

I have seen some other colors on black trim sections, some more glossy, this is pretty flat black. Dries fast and is easy to use.

Sorry for the late response, I had to find the can....

Ben;

I have one of those 1/2 inch black markers that I keep in the car for those quick touch-up to the chin spoiler, but it will have to be fixed in the future. What Flat Black paint do you use on that?

Peter -

I already had gotten a point off for that, and well the TR next to mine had this nice black color instead of my icky brownish mess in the wheel wells. My wheel wells are fiberglass and a bunch of other things as well (lots of interior/cabin sutff is under the leather). I just get alot of folks come up to me thinking that my car is light since it's all fiberglass, which we all (owners) know isn't the case. I'm sure there is more fiberglass than I have found so far (and my TR curb wt is 3,660lbs.).

The Wurth spray was leftover from another project (normally $10/can, need 4-5 cans) and that brown was bothering me anyways. But as you can see in the last shot I didn't do all that work (removing the wheels etc.) for just the color of my wheel wells, at the same time I deglazed my brakes.

Altho I was prepping the car for CI.

So Ben, the next time you're at a concours, you'll pull the wheels off to have them judge the wheelwells? J

Looks great.

You'd be surprised how much fiberglass is used on my GT4. The entire floor, the front compartment (spare wheel area), the door panels, parts of the dashboard, wheelwells, etc... Even with all of this fiberglass, the car weighs OVER 3000lbs.

Thanks I had completely forgotten!

My TR's front "nose" spoiler (not sure if it's the same for 3x8's) is one of the few pieces of my car made of fiberlglass. I have broken/cracked it several times. It can be repaired IN PLACE using fiberglass repair kit, or remove it and a bigger reinforcement job can be done. You can use (heaven forbid) Bondo to smooth out any small defects. If you do anything more than just a small patch of bondo or fill, you will need to use a primer before the flat black paint. If you want I'll go grab the cans and tell you what I use for the primer and paint. The flat black spray paint is a %100 perfect match to my spoiler, when I scrape it lightly I just spray more black unil I crack it and need to really fix it again (it will always happen).

Now for pics of the Wurth rubberized undercoating spray:

Let me know what you think....

I've used that stuff....Wurth R.U.C.S.

Messy, doesn't cover all that much per can, but sure looks nice.

All you 328 owners out there know how easy it is to hit or scratch the bottom of the carespecilly the black chin spoiler and the fiberglass tray that stretches from wheel to wheel and protects the battery. Im sure its even worse for 348s, 355s, etc. Id like to remove that tray and touch up the scrapes. What should I use? A fiberglass repair kit? How about other places where the undercoating has been scraped off? Has anyone ever used Wurths rubberized undercoating spray?
