For magnum pi they took out a bunch of the seat cushioning on the bottom and then they moved the tracks back as far as they could, but it still had the adjustments and all.

Didn't they take the tracks off the Magnum PI cars so Tom Selleck could fit inside ?! I believe they just bolted a thin metal strap to the seats but then you have no for/aft adjustment. OK if you are the only one driving.

I am also big and I have no problems of space.
Of course if I want a laaaarge room I pick up my Rolls or my Bentley for a drive :-)

The seats in my TR are lowered 2 inches (5 cm) done by the previous owner who is 6'5". I am almost 5'11" and I cannot imagine the seat being higher. Sitting in a 308 or 328 is a real problem for me as I think the car just does not have any room. In the Mondial you have lost of headroom and 2 seats behind you, in the TR you have lots of room around and behind you. I still think the 308/328 are the best looking Ferrari (308 GTS QV and 328 GTB are my favourites).

Hi
I am 193 cm (sorry) and I have a 328 GTB.

I have installed a snap-off system with extra extenders (2x1/2"). It moves the steering wheel 50 mm (2") closer. It is now much more convenient to drive.

Ciao

I sat in a 328 GTS today for the first time, whoa! Very small cabin compared to my Mondial 3.2. I am also 6'1" with long torso and I could not sit in the thing without my head being at 45 degrees! I tilted the seat back as far as I could but it was too laid back, I am used to sitting almost upright and close in my Mondial and other cars. I also note that the air con duct outlet hits you in the kneecap, ouch.

I looked at lowering the seat also and I can't see much room there, I think you may be able to fit a 1 peice racing seat with little or no padding and that's about it.

Have any of you lowered the drivers seat? I am 6'1", and I am tall from the waist up, with realitively short legs. I believe that my driving position would be better if I could lower my seat.

Anybody tried this? All ideas will be appreciated.
